From the President’s Desk ~
Who
is Jesus? No one else has influenced history as He has. Jesus is the Son of God.
Old Testament prophets spoke of His coming and described the eternal and
life-changing impact He would have.
Jesus
is both God and Man. He stilled the seas and walked on water. With a touch of
His hand, He cured incurable diseases. He restored life to those who had
physically died.
Jesus
personifies love. He paid the ultimate price so that we could live with Him
forever. He sees us through the eyes of love. He loves us in spite of every
hurtful thought, every harmful word, and every wrongful action. These are all a
result of sin, which contaminates everything we do. It is in every broken, every
empty life, every infirmity, every damaged emotion, every sorrow and grief. And
as the Bible says, the end result of sin is death (Rom 6:23). Jesus Himself was
sinless;
only
He could pay the penalty for our sins.
Because
of his love, He suffered, died, and rose again.
We
are forgiven. All who believe in Jesus are guaranteed eternal life with Him in
heaven.
Why
did Jesus do this? Because Jesus is love.
As we approach the Easter season, let us meditate on the above and know that Jesus died for us so that all of our sins may be forgiven.
Yours in Christ ~ Jerry Gunnerson President

Every Family Visits Starting
One
of the goals I have set for myself this year, is to visit with
each
member/family of Galilean. I am beginning that process with the
help
of Jan Fynskov. Jan has volunteered to help by making calls to
schedule
the date and time for these visits. Please know that you
have
the option of meeting with me at the church if you would rather
not
have me come to your home. I realize that for many, their home is
a
private place and I will not in any way be offended if you would
rather
meet me at the church office.
Please
let Jan know this when she calls.
My
goals for these visits: 1) to last about 1 hour; 2) I want to get
to
know you so I can be a better pastor for you; 3) If you have any
hopes
and dreams for Galilean I am very interested in hearing them. I
will
be taking notes as we talk, because as I get older my memory is
not
as sharp as it used to be.
I
am looking forward to these visits, and hope that you are also.
It’s Time to
Decorate our Sanctuary for Easter!!
Please
bring in your flowers, of any kind ~ Lilies, Mums, etc. to decorate and
celebrate Christ’s Resurrection. You may bring them in during Holy Week ~ and
if you would like them in honor or in memory of a loved one, please let Karen in
the church office know ~ it will be an Insert in the Easter Bulletin. Thanks!
Youth
Notes!
May the Lord continue to Bless you. Happy
Easter Galilean Crusaders

OOPS!!
A few weeks ago somebody grabbed the wrong leather coat and ended up taking mine…and their’s is still here at the church. I would appreciate it if mine were returned since it was a gift.

Worship Notes to Note!!!
Galilean’s Bi-Annual Seder Meal!
This is being held on Maundy Thursday, April 5 here at Galilean at 6:30 pm.
We are in need of: volunteers to bring food and make food items for this event. The sheets to sign up for these is on the table in the back of the sanctuary ~ recipes are also there. And if you plan on attending, there is a sign-up sheet for that too. We ask that you please sign your intention to attend no later than Sunday, April 1st as we need a definite head count by then. Thanks!!
This Passover Seder event is to celebrate and tell the story of deliverance, freedom, and redemption. The meal is known as the Seder, which means “order”, because the meal and service are done in a prescribed sequence. This sequence is presented in the Haggadah (telling) which outlines the steps of the meal as well as the readings and songs for the participants.
Join us too for Good Friday Worship Friday, April 6th.
Easter Sunrise Service begins @ 6:45 am Sunday, April 8th.

To the people of Galilean, thank you so much in helping us remember and celebrate the life of Alan Peer Oines. It was so reassuring to see so many again, and meet new people who had a part in Al’s life.We were there as a family when Galilean first met and then broke ground, and Alan found it a most hospitable collection of people. We are so happy that it continues to be a welcoming place for all of God’s beloved people. Know that your contributions have been forwarded to the designated ministry. Bless you!!
